Our Story

FAMILY FARMS ARE DYING.
You read that correctly.  The 2022 USDA Farm Census states that the number of farms keeps getting smaller, and farms keep getting bigger (464 acres to be exact).  Not to mention, the average American is 3 generations removed from their food.
We’re Adam and Madison Wehrman and we’re on a mission to change that, at least in our neck of the woods.  As our 4th generation small family farm slowly transitions to the 5th generation, we’re changing our operation to make sure it thrives for the 6th generation and beyond.
We’re doing this by growing Food instead of Commodities.

Our vision is to farm for a living, and prove that small family farms can still thrive in America.

With a Masters in Agronomy from Purdue University, Adam is growing the produce you’ll see at the market, and focusing on soil health along the way.  Adam also makes the jams, soaps, and candies based on great recipes (some passed down through generations).

With a Bachelors in Creative Writing from Purdue University, Madison will be more active on our social media accounts to make sure you are in the know about our operation.

Together, they raise the pasture-raised chicken.
